My family is English, but I am Canadian. While visiting family in England in July 2016, my daughter and I bought some Kent strawberries from Marks and Spencer. We couldn’t believe how wonderful they tasted, the absolute strawberry flavour! Better than any locally grown Canadian strawberry.
I know I'm bias because I'm from and live in Kent, but I agree we have the best strawberries - and whilst M&S usually sell good ones those are then again not a batch on the ones from local farm shops around about now - though the later crops are suffering in an unseasonable heatwave we're having - I can't wait for the first rain in weeks at the weekend as my garden needs it!
There is no strawberry as delicious as an English strawberry.
